Morning Came the 61st Day

Moving on day. Fond farewells to two gorgeous boys.

We took a suburban train to the city where we stayed overnight on Monday. 300m from Roma St station , we  booked at Meriton, not appreciating it was this building!

Dropped our bags and set off to find some particular sculptures at St John's Anglican Cathedral by Rhyl Hinwood. Interesting woman.

Much to see inside and out. So we explored other churches - the oldest Anglican church in Brisbane, a neo- romanesque Uniting Church and St Stephen's Catholic Cathedral.
The latter not so much for the building ,as for two sculptures. The first of Mary McKillop, the other a suspended crucifix.

Continuing the public transport theme, we explored the Loop Bus and took a walk in the  Botanic Gardens, including the riverfront.

Of course, Brisbane had some exciting buildings; again took too many pics!
Early start tomorrow, so early to bed.
So ended our 61st day...the view from our window- Roma St station.
