Morning came the 30th Day

....on the bus. Ever so pleased to see the dawn and sunrise.

Carnarvon at last,at 7am. After Geraldton, this is a small country town. We were greeted by mosquitoes, by the million! Too late, damage done.  We took our time walking along the Facine. The town is at the delta mouth of the Gasgoyne River.

Consequently, the water often runs red. Our hotel was down near the palm trees so dumped the bags. Next stop tourist info office.  Next to useless exercise which I won't detail, so set off with Mr Google, who guided us to a  bus which would get us near the Space Museum. Town buses only run Mon,Wed and Fri- lucky it was Friday! Found the bus-stop and a bus- no driver. She had just popped in to do some shopping but after a Cook's tour of the town (which we enjoy) she took us all the way to the bottom of the museum hill.

Carnarvon played a role in the space race with a big UK and US presence.

The museum has been developed by ex staff and volunteers and was visited by Buzz Aldrin.

Spent some hours here and taxied back in.  Pleasant walk to a warerfront pub for dinner, more urgent drinks! Unbelievably hot! So ended our 30th day on the Facine at night.
