Morning Came the 25th Day....

Sunday 9th May..Mothers' Day and we are on the bus to Geraldton.

Relieved to be leaving Perth, not because it wasn't a beautiful city but it feels like our risk of derailment is reduced. 11am -6pm but again the time passes quickly as did the changing countryside. This was our route-inland.

The most well known place was New Norcia.

We followed the railway so lots of open wheat country, long straight roads, and small towns.

Half way there we met the bus coming from Geraldton and swapped drivers. Once he was sure there were no more pickups he declared he was taking a short cut! Being a local has its advantages. The sunset was the first of many I am sure we will marvel at. Dark on arrival so we taxied. The hotel restaurant was booked out but thankfully they offered room service.  Wow! Fish and chips = $48!  As it turned out, 1/2 serves were very adequate.  Locals must eat big serves as we notice most places have a menu category ,"small plates".

So ends the 25th day. We are sleeping very well!
