Morning came the 22nd Day

Some days are diamonds! Brilliant sunshine. No public trabsport where we were heading! Hired a car. We thought we had gone round the world when we came across Stonehenge Esperance!

It's not a replica but rather a folly gone bust then a labour of love by the current owner.

Next target was Cape Le Grande National Park; a place of such natural beauty that pics don't do it justice. The geology, the islands, the plants and the many hues of blue made for visual overload.
First stop was Lucky Bay. We attempted to get to Rossiter Bay where E J Eyre came across. Most will know we have followed his path for years but Esperance was the missing link. However we don't have the persistence of EJE..in a rental car the corrugations defeated us. But not entirely. Next inlet was Le Grande beach- endless.

There are many walks around the Cape; the campgrounds were fully booked so a lot of people loving the isolation!
70 kms back to town. Pause at the pier which has recently been refurbished for presevation.
The cape just visible on the horizon. Then my shot of the day.
Look very closely to find the birds....

Then we headed west on a coastal loop. More eye-candy.  Some bays had expansive swimming beaches, others had reefs and rock

Tearing ourselves from the coast we headed back via the Pink Lake. No longer pink but an unexpected find

We returned the car, walked the Esplanade, found a lighthouse...

And so ended the 22nd day with a nightview of Esperance' best public art piece
