Morning comes...Evening comes..the 1st Day

Great start although I didn't sleep before..both excited and a bit anxious. Em took us to Westfield to the R2 5.41am bus. Very efficient route and an agreeable bus driver

ACTION MAN! AND.....

Bag man.

Loved the train; fairly fast and very comfortable. Bungendore was a surprise. We could see what DefenceHQ looks like and so many houses one never sees from the road. Then came the text. No train from Goulburn to Melb, A freight train had derailed at Boman on the Junee side of Waggs...nothing could get through. So bus it was.

But we still had time for a Paragon breakfast and a walk around the beautiful historic buildings..love that Court House  Not shown here the original Police Station was built before my ancestors arrived!

The station is in great condition with iconic pics

Tbe coach had articulated rear wheels..just as well. The driver thought Google showed him a loop at Gunning station. Not so. We ended up in a fenced yard..required a 22 point turn to get out.

Short breaks at Yass and Albury

More great railway architecture

Didn't get in till 8.15pm...lucky the hotel was just over the footbridge at Sthn Cross station. Talk a walk, had a fab Indian curry. So ends the 1st day.
